Gilles ALFRED
In 1998, after graduating with a DEA in economics, Gilles decided to work in the luxury hotel industry at the “Société des Bains de Monaco”, where he learned the art of customer service and the constant thrive for perfection.
After a decade in Monaco, Gilles came back “to his roots” in Bordeaux, where he decided to switch to the wine trade, like his parents did before.
Gilles created the company RIVE DROITE RIVE GAUCHE in 2011 and quickly specialized in the sale of old vintages, focusing mainly on the greatest Bordeaux Grands Crus (Petrus, Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, etc.). He worked on his own for 10 years interacting with the major players in the Place de Bordeaux, before embarking on a new adventure in 2021!
Our offering
During the past 10 years, we have built up a substantial stock, mainly focused on fine and rare wines.
We are in contact with many suppliers both in France and abroad, which allows us to quickly respond to the most diverse requests.
After starting our activity by targeting mainly the old vintages of the Grands Crus Classés of Bordeaux, we have now broadened our range not only by offering rare gems from Burgundy and the Rhone regions (DRC, Rousseau, Mugnier, Jayer, Rayas … ) but also offering “large bottles” which are the dream of every wine lovers and collectors.
PRESTIGIOUS WINES MARKETED :
All these exceptional wines are purchased from reliable and recognized collectors and suppliers. They are carefully inspected, photographed upon receipt to ensure their authenticity, and verify their conservation.
Thus, our knowledge and “savoir faire” are constantly improving, year after year.

OUR WAREHOUSE
Our logistics provider ZIEGLER, located in Blanquefort, offers 12000 m2 of storage and our wines are stored in a cell of 3000m² in controlled temperature that guarantees a constant temperature throughout the year and secure logistics.
Inaugurated in 2022, this very modern warehouse, located 15 minutes from Bordeaux, is a continuation of our work.
Any order can be shipped anywhere in the world with all the required documentation for customs.
Before the shipping, we carry out numerous qualitative and quantitative controls (opening of cases, photos, etc.) to guarantee the total customer satisfaction for his order.
